In this day and age of digital everything the traditional wedding album has become a bit of a dinosaur. More often than not it is an afterthought for many couples; most don’t even consider it until they realise that it comes standard in all my packages and others opt for my a la carte packages which don’t include prints or albums because they feel they don’t need it.
So why is this? Today our lives are lived through screens, and the thought of having something as old fashioned as an album might seem like something your grandparents had. And you are right.
But think about this – aren’t you kind of glad they did?
Imagine not having any record of your families history, not having something to pass down to your kids and them to theirs. An album is a tangible representation of the beginning of your married life together. And a little bit more special than passing down a USB drive 😉
On the subject of USB drives, do we know how long that form of media archiving will be around for (floppy disks anyone?!).
Your eyes, however, have a much longer shelf life.
This is why I encourage all my couples to think twice before deciding not to get an album.
Your wedding is special, and you deserve a special place for your memories.
