What is a portrait party?
You know Tupperware parties? Well a portrait party is like that, but way cooler (although, who doesn’t love Tupperware 😀 )
It works like this – a host invites a bunch of friends to an outdoor location (for example a park, beach, or their own home) and each one is given a 20 minute mini portrait session with me.
Portrait Parties are great for getting shots of your kids, family or yourself and can be used not just as prints in your home, but as gifts for xmas, birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or ‘Grandma has been hassling us for photos of the kids for ages’ day 😉
The nitty gritty
The host of the event gets their mini session for free, along with a free 8×10 and $10 print credit for each person that books (a minimum of 4 people is required, with a maximum of 10). So if you invite 10 people, that’s $100 off your print order!
Each guest pays a reduced-rate portrait fee of $40, which includes the following:
One 20 minute mini session
10 photos to choose from to get printed
One 8×10 print and $50 print credit on a full photography session for you to use in the future, or give to a friend
Your prints are will be available to view in around 2 – 3 weeks, at which time you can either gather at your hosts house for a viewing (wine and cheese optional 😉 ), or opt to have your images posted to your own private gallery online.
Portrait Party prints are 30% off our normal print prices, making this a great way to get some beautiful images at an awesome price.
Notes for Hosts
Here are some tips to help make the day run smoothly:
Prior to the party I will supply you with all a Host Info Pack which has info you need to send to your guests prior to the event. This will include our print price list, a time sheet, info about the day, e-vites and reminder e-vites.
Schedule your guests into time slots before I arrive – this makes the day run smoothly which with kids is not always easy!
But what if your child decides their scheduled time is when they can’t be dragged away from the cupcakes? No problems, we’ll just shift you to another time slot.
Bring some snacks – it’s entirely up to you if you want to arrange the food, or have your guests bring some along with them.
Let’s do this! When can I book in?
Weekends are generally the best for everyone, however I do have weekday availabilities in March 2016 if you have kids younger than school age, or want to get some shots after school hours (which is generally the best time of day for portraits!)
