Every few weeks I’ll be highlighting an image from my collection that I love, and explaining why I think it’s awesome 😉
This week it’s an image from way back in the archives.
It was taken in 2006 when I was working on the Olympic Winter Games in Torino. My day job as a television editor can take me to some amazing places and Torino was no exception. European countries are an absolute gold mine for photographers, the architecture alone is phenomenal and don’t even start me on the countryside!
This arch was hidden off a main road, much like many around the city. But the light flooding the area was so beautiful I had to stop and take a photo. It was during the time when I was without a DSLR, so all I had was a little point and shoot Canon – proof that you don’t need a fancy camera to take an awesome photo, and it also shows how important light is in photography.
