It was a brisk and very early morning (5am! It’s a rare day I’m up that early!) that I drove up to the NSW Central Coast to spend some time with Daisy.
Watching the storm clouds overhead and cursing the rain I could see a sliver of sunshine on the horizon as the sun rose. When I arrived at Daisy’s we could see blue sky trying to break through but big clouds were still looming. Usually cloud cover is perfect for photography, acting as a big gentle diffuser over the sun and allowing a soft light to hit your subject, but today was all about silhouettes and golden sun and that was not what we were seeing!
We found some cute little spots around her house and tried (unsuccessfully) to keep her Chihuahua Peanut out of shot, and eventually we were lucky enough to get some beautiful sunshine streaming through the windows. Daisy even braved the cold temps outside – you would never have known it was the coldest day we have had all year!
